About

My name is Béla Nagy, and I was born in the city of Cluj/Kolozsvár, cultural capital of Transylvania, Romania. I moved to Hungary in 1993. This site is my photo blog – a modest exhibit of my viewpoint about places, things, people and emotions. I’ve had an interest in photography since my early adolescent years. I have shared my photos on the web for a couple of years. Most of the photos on this site have been taken during my trips, journeys in the mountains, caves and cities of Romania and Hungary. I am a graphic designer running my own company: OutSide Design.

In my spare-time I follow my hobbies: Spelunking, Hiking, Mountaineering and Photography. Luckily, these interests work well together. I hope that you enjoy the photos on this site. EQUIPMENT:

I take pictures using a Pentax K20D DSLR and different lenses – both reputable Pentax primes and different zoom lenses. Although I am a proud Pentaxian I am not a strictly gear-oriented fellow; I believe that the photographer is what makes the difference. I use a variety of software in my workflow like Silkypix for RAW developing, NeatImage for effective noise reduction and last but not least Adobe Photoshop for everything else. I am also equipped with a set of Microsat studio stobe lights.
